This session is for the Teesside 2 group or Teesside 1 for catchup or revision. NB a session requires a minimum of 6 participants to go ahead and your booking will be confirmed no less than 3 days before the date.

A Blog is short for Web Log; originally a means of creating a series annotated links. The annotations got more extensive and became more akin to a web diary. Blogging is fundamental to Podcasting.

There are many tools for blogging. They fall into two different camps, hosted and installed. "Hosted" is a tool that you simply use online in the webspace of the software producer and example of this is blogger. "Installed" means you have to download the software and install it on your own server. Whichever route you choose you will be able to show your group and participants how to set up blogs. This session is for beginners and will look at the simple hosted solution to Blogging. There will also be a session on advanced blogging that you can move on to.
